Max was called to the Bar in 2002 and proceeded to carve out a successful career which included Corporate & Civil Litigation, Bankruptcy, Housing, Employment and various other general non-contentious contractual and tortious matters. Having appeared in Court in well over 1,000 cases involving his clients Max decided that he wanted to combine his legal skills with football, one of his true passions, and hence qualified as a Players’ Agent Licensed by The FA in 2007. As far as he knows, Max is the only Barrister who is also a Players’ Agent which thereby enables him to provide professional services over a very broad range of legal and professional footballing matters. He has an extensive list of contacts at football clubs and other sporting institutions the world over which have been built up over time and enable him to provide services in the placement of players and coaches, advice and representation in disciplinary proceedings within The FA and FIFA where has had success and of course general career advice and representation for players and coaches. In addition to that, he is also available to provide legal services within McFaddens LLP’s areas of practice in his role as an Employed Barrister with a particular emphasis on Sports Law.
Max is a member of the British Association for Sport & Law.
